I can not tell you how excited I am! Our inaugural Pour on the Plaza is almost here.
Five years ago at El Gaucho Seattle we started a small intimate group of Washington’s best wineries for an event called the Legendary Swirl. With over 15 wineries by the fourth year I felt it was perfected. I could not wait to bring the event to the new El Gaucho Bellevue. I remember asking Mr. Mackay about that, to my dismay Chad said the Swirl stays in Seattle and I need to come up with an event specifically for Bellevue. On top of that, it should be the biggest and best event in Bellevue. Talk about just a small amount of pressure!

This is what I have come up with, well, with some help of course…

The inaugural Pour On The Plaza on Saturday, August 8, from 2-5pm, will take place outside our brand new City Center Plaza building on the neatly trimmed grass in the sun next to the fountain. Well, not quite a fountain like expected, you know the economy and all, its more like a wading pool, but still water.
With 25 wineries and more knocking on my door to participate we have assembled what I think may just keep me around a couple more weeks at least. (If just a mere 200-250 reservations are made)
With tremendous relationships with local winemakers some refer to them as “wine gods” we have the following as teasers for you:

Andrew Will, Pepper Bridge, Barons V.

Not good enough to spark your interest?

Ok, DeLILLE CELLARS, Long Shadows, Woodward Canyon.

More?

How about all of the Grape Killers? Don’t know who they are? (Baer, Sparkman, Mark Ryan, Stevens, Gorman, Darby, Guardian)
I am sure you are on the phone calling El Gaucho Bellevue by now to get in, better hurry. I am just sayin…

Brian Nova Local Jazz hero will be there for your entertainment.
Wild Ginger, Grand Cru Wine Bar & Shop and The Melting Pot join the festivities.

Looking forward to seeing you there on Saturday, August 8. For reservations, please call 425.455.2715.
